THE REGION, Ind. - Yesterday in part 1 of this post was my opinion on where we are as a nation and how it came to be that we had been sold such a bill of goods in the first place. Today I offer up a possible solution to how we might begin the extremely hard work of restoring our Republic back onto the “path of a more perfect union”.
My motivation to work towards a solution is two-fold. For one, as a parent, it is quite obvious we are enslaving our posterity and each future generation into the monolithic chains of unprecedented amounts of debt. A debt which is OUR responsibility, not our children’s or grandchilden’s. We diminish their worth when we allow the aristocrats to borrow monies in addition to our taxes from foreign nations en mass. Only for them to wage their imperial wars and to support their lavish lifestyles. The time is now and we must not shirk our responsibility in solving this crisis.
Secondly, anyone who pays attention can see the illegal curtailing of our inherent natural rights from a government who for too long has forgotten their proper role as servant. This government failed on September 11th, 2001 to successfully discharge their first and most important duty as a government. That being to keep us secure from outside invasion. This government’s utter failure is thanks in large part to a 110 year foreign policy of nation-building via assassinations beginning in 1895 with the overthrow of the Hawaiian Queen, to the 1953 overthrow of democratically elected Iranian Prime Minister Mosaddeq via our CIA in “Operation AJAX” and continuing through to Iraq. In all, during the last 110 years, our government has “spread its version of democracy” around the globe toppling 13 governments to date.
Not only have they mortgaged ours and our children’s future, but this government has repeatedly antagonized sovereign foreign governments. Thus leaving us open to the retaliation by those affected by our imperialist ambitions. It should also be noted this is in direct opposition to the founder’s vision of American foreign policy. They knew all to well how countless wars had ravaged and destabilized the “old world”. It seems we have forgotten this extremely important lesson.
Make no mistake, the struggle to return America to its Constitutional bearing will not be easy. However, nothing in life worth its merit ever came easy. Moreover, if not now, when? Shall we wait until more of our rights have evaporated? Shall we wait until China cashes out early on their $700 Billion dollars+ in treasury bonds and sends our economy in to a complete collapse? Or shall we take the first steps in a long and arduous journey?
A journey that may very well outlast me, however to do nothing will not put us one step closer to recovery. Perhaps the fruits of the struggle will not be harvested until our Grandchildren are grown. Nonetheless, returning the sunshine of liberty to the people of our nation is in my estimation worth all the difficult toiling that does indeed lie ahead.
We were entrusted with the greatest experiment in individual liberty the world has ever known. Let us be the generation to restore its shining brilliance, not the gadget obsessed culture who allowed it to be extinguished.
The Possible Solution for your Consideration…
THE REGION, Ind.- When I was little I recall my first exposure to our Founding Father’s some where around the 2nd grade just before Thanksgiving of that year. We covered a very basic watered down version of the “1st Thanksgiving” and “Revolutionary War”. The memory that sticks out most in my mind is that our nation, America, was the first place where people were meant to be free and not controlled by kings or a state-church. That in order to protect us from future kings, the Founders wrote two documents, The Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. This “Cliffnotes” version of our country coupled with heavy doses of ABC’s Saturday morning Schoolhouse Rock instilled in me a deep infatuation and love affair with the noble ideal that was to be America.
Granted in second grade my comprehension of all of this was severely limited, thus proven by me thinking Thomas Jefferson was an African-American and then wondering why it took so long for baseball to let a black man play in the major leagues??? My ignorant bliss would not last, time passed and as one dug beneath the surface, Lady Liberty had more than her fair share of bruises. From the slaughtering of Native Americans, to the utter hypocrisy of slavery in a nation where all men were supposedly equal, to women’s suffrage, etc. Despite all of this, the enthusiasm in how my teacher told the stories must have been contagious. Her eyes would get big as she excitedly explained the “Midnight Ride of Paul Revere” and President Washington’s Crossing of the Delaware River.
Nevertheless, little by little as I dug through the cobwebs of our history it became apparent, that those Kings our Constitution was intended to protect us against, never gave up their fight to reassert their so called aristocratic “divine right”. That even while America has attempted to right the wholly unjust policy of slavery, that we as women are now considered “equal”, the pull-peddling Aristocrats who sought out power, repeatedly picked at the parchment, the ideals, the philosophy of individual liberty, until it was a mere shadow of a document, left only in memoriam, no longer applicable in a “post 9/11 world”.
They set up “opposing methods” to an aristocratic philosophy and called them “political parties”. The philosophy is socialism under the guise of freedom . The “Democrats” believe in social engineering and wholly indebting individuals to the state in the form of social welfare programs.
Republicans set out to prove their methodology via conquest and military occupation. Now let it be known their labels have switched and have been interchanged several times, from federalists, to progressives, to liberals, to conservatives. However the end to their pandering has always remained the same, centralized control of their “subjects”.
Somewhere along the line, they rediscovered the best way to gain more power, a method as old as humanity itself; divide and conquer. These “politicians”, Latin for “(poli) Many and (tics) Blood sucking creatures”, began an appeal to an individual’s core sense of fairness and promised to make whatever problem was most pressing to them go away, in exchange of course, for a vote for the pull-peddler. No matter the cause, from retirement, education, to saving the trees, to homelessness, to healthcare, the politician promised a centralized cure to their ailment. Yet the politician was not done, they imbued the individual with the notion that this group cause was superior to any and all other causes, and thus demanded as well as justified the legal use of force, i.e. government coercion, i.e. the trampling of others rights in order to achieve its end. And slowly the country’s philosophy began to change from “live and let live” whence unless an individual suffered from harm to themselves or property, to a nation that believed they are “entitled to trample” for the benefit of the group, dissenting opinion be damned. This my friends is the root to collectivism, the division of individual Americans into neat little “people groups”.
One need not look too hard in order to find how the pull peddlers craft a strategy and coral these “people groups” into election campaign pawns to be used and cast aside. No just look at the groups up for grabs this cycle. Democrats hope to embolden the LGBT community, anti-war activists, and Hispanics with promises of the “Big Rock candy Mountain” while Republicans return to the well for evangelical Christians, Hispanics, and business men, using the same old scare tactics of gays and terrorists. Politicians promise “change” spoken in cryptic vaguery, national security from an invisible boogeyman, “free” healthcare from a financially bankrupt Treasury Department, civil unions to create separate but equal distinctions, war to protect us from war, and end to war, yet more saber rattling to a new enemy “Iran”, energy independence via a 19th century technology, all in the ruthless support of their continued power. We the sheeple have been sold a bill of goods by the Washington D.C. Snake oil Salesmen. How much longer shall we suffer this incremental despotism?
Where do we go from here? One possible solution - to be published on Friday, June 27th, 2008
On Friday the House of Representatives, controlled by Democrats, handed President Bush everything.
For those of us who hold the “irrational” fear that one day machines will rise up and kill us, that fear just became a tad bit less “irrational”.
The makers of everyone’s favorite little modern convenience, i.e., vacuum for lazy slobs, the Roomba robot, comes their next generation helper robot. However this time cleaning the rug is secondary, right after it splatters your intestines all over the road….
A look at an injured veteran who signed up to fight against those who attacked us on 9/11 and ended up injured after being sent to Iraq on our Neo-Con conquest and the start of the 2nd crusades. A film by Ellen Spiro and Phil Donahue…
It seems everywhere you look, politicians cannot wait to “promise” us more and more freebies in the form of “government programs”. Fact of the matter is, we are literally bankrupt from current benefits due on current government programs such as Social Security/Medicare and yet there are politicians who cannot wait to promise us “universal health care” for all Americans. Do we realize what we are asking for?
Just when you thought the nanny state could not get any worse, Drew Carey from ReasonTV brings us this ridiculous but true story…

Political junkies may remember that after September 11th, 2001, the news broke that then Secretary of Defense, Rumsfeld and Paul Wolfowitz concocted the idea of creating an Office of Strategic Influence in order to spin the news about the war in Iraq and the larger “War on Terror”.
After the news leaked, the politicians and their crony hand-job fucktards, back stepped and said the office would be shut down.
Guess what.. they fucking lied…
